Meet Mukabucyana Alphonsina, a member of the Icyerekezoself-help group and the mother of our sponsored child, Samuel Munyembabazi. This mother has impressed so many with her dedication to her self-help group, achieving significant milestones that have greatly improved her family's well-being. Alphonsina's accomplishments include building her own house and engaging in small-scale livestock farming by raising pigs and chickens. Her hard work and skillful farming sustain her and her family.

Her husband abandoned the family many years ago, leaving her alone to raise five children, including Samuel. Alphonsina is a remarkable example of how Eden’s Child self-help groups can empower individuals to improve their lives and their whole family’s future.

Today, she owns 11 pigs and plans to expand the pigsty to increase the number of pigs she can raise. Congratulations Alphonsina!
